Foundations for the AULOS REVIVAL

The two-day symposium explored the musicality and performance of Ancient Greek verse and instruments. The first day featured interactive rhythm workshops and discussions on the challenges of interpreting ancient song-dance in modern contexts. The second day focused on integrating the aulos into higher education, examining repertoire, societal roles, and essential skills, followed by practical sessions on circular breathing, reed variations, and reconstructing historical playing techniques.
